Jeffrey G. Martin
Jeff is the Manager of Martex LLC & Martex Operating LLC. Upon graduating from The University of Texas @ Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences, he formed Martin Energy Company in 1984 where he worked in concert with the family business. Subsequently, he formed PetroQuest Corporation and branched off as an Independent Explorationist in 1989. In 1993, he formed Martin-Marks Exploration LLC with Everard W. Marks, III and Martin-Marks Minerals LLC in 1996, (both companies were merged in 1998). His operational history was initiated with the formation of Martin-Marks Operating Co. LLC in 2002, at the bequest of James H. Stone (founder of Stone Energy), one of our investors. Jeff most recently formed Martex LLC in 2011.
Jeffrey G. Martin is experienced in geology, geophysics, land, oil & gas finance, oil & gas accounting, reservoir engineering, unitization, oil & gas operations, prospect generation and prospect evaluation as an independent.
He has been involved with an ownership interest in approximately fifty wells in North & South Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Michigan and Alabama, as well as owning a mineral and lease interest in approximately one hundred wells across approximately 50,000 acres of mineral and lease ownership in the State of Michigan.
Jeff is a Certified Petroleum Geologist No. 2574 with the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists, as well as a Licensed State of Texas Professional Geologist No. 2508. Jeff has been a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists since 1982 and is a member of the New Orleans Geological Society.
Robert M. Bailey
Bobby is the Operations Manager for Martex Operating LLC. Prior to joining Martex he was a Project Manager at Taylor Energy Company for 2 years where he managed and coordinated the operations of their offshore subsea oil containment system. He was responsible for equipment maintenance and fabrication, coordinated supply vessels and scheduled work crews for weekly pump-off operations. He also supervised offshore dive operations for equipment installation, repair and maintenance.
Previously he was the Operations Manager for Gulf Production Company for 7 years. He has broad experience in inland waters and land based oil & gas field operations. He coordinated and provided support to engineers on drilling and completion projects including permitting, regulatory compliance, well site preparation, pipeline and production facility construction. He was also responsible for daily production operations, reports, maintaining well files and approving field invoices.
For the first 16 years of his career, Bobby was an Independent Petroleum Landman with experience in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. His landman experience included project management, negotiation, acquisition and preparation of mineral leases, royalty deeds, surface leases, seismic permits with lease options, and pipeline, well site and road rights-of-way. He is skilled in title research, abstracting, curative, due diligence, drafting and mapping.
Bobby is a Board Member of the American Petroleum Institute Delta Chapter. He is a Past Board Member of the Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana. He is also a member of the American Association of Drilling Engineers.
